Access controls in JIRA

Hi All,

Since JIRA doesnt support access controls, posting to the community to see if anyone is aware of a plugin or solution to support this.

We have a need for implementing access controls on local (internal directory) accounts in JIRA...
1. User is notified if account is inactive for a period of time.
2. Account becomes deactivated if user does not log in after a period of time.

I managed to implement most of this by using REST but did not had time to finish it.

Thanks Sorin. I beleive we will look at Rest for a solution as well.
