API request via cli to get open ticket number

We are using jira IBM softlayer, we want to list out the issues which are created or assigned to specific user. so any api call available to make authentication and list of open issues of current authenticated user in linxu/macos terminal. 

basically, we want to get one of the open ticket (ex: BASTION-34822 on my name sreekanth) from jira softlayer and send this ticket number to a command to proceed further on mac terminal.
