Hi,

I'm using the Jira API and I'm able to access many of the endpoints successfully via Postman therefore I know I have the auth set up correctly.

My issue is that I can't access the 'Get User' endpoint and get a response of

"You are not authenticated. Authentication required to perform this operation."
I'm an org and site admin so don't see how it could be a permissions issue.
This is the endpoint Im trying to access:
/rest/api/3/user?accountId=12345*****
I've also tried using the V2 API but still nothing. I really need this endpoint to get the email of the user.
Any suggestions?

Hi @Sam Potashnick

If the credentials are all correct, then can you check whether you inherit the Browse users and groups Global permission?

I figured it out. I had generated a token only for Jira, needed to do one for Atlassian
