Hello there, please please help me..!
I want to move my project from personal jira to company jira, and following this tutorial https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/migrate-projects-from-one-jira-cloud-site-to-another-779160766.html
I backup previous projects but not download, after restore a zip only with one project, the previous projects ALL GONE, and backup file also disappear(can not download anymore)
backup download button is blank.
Could anyone help me to restore the projects....please, thank you very much!!!
Hi,
Welcome to the community
Try to contact atlassian support to see if they can provide you a backup. When you restore one project or multiple project at once this will erase all the existing data in your cloud instance.
Thanks for your kindly and fast answer, I will contact jira support, Thank you.

Hi, Benziane, I tried to contact atlassian support or jira support, but it seems if an account is free (account with company and mine are all free in jira), then I can not contact for a one-by-one help, atlassian only provide the support way of the document and community. I am very willing pay for a backup recovering help, do you know how or where can I find a service help? or any one can help me to call back the backup? Thank you all so much!
**edit**
I already wrote a issue report, looking forward a good news.

Oh yes, i thought your company instance wasn't a free plan, so yes the community is the right place for you.
Unfortunately, as you erase all the existing data and you didn't download the backup before performing the import, we can't provide you a suistable solution.
I will add a tag to the thread and let some atlassian's people look at this conversation. Maybe some community leader will check in and give their insights.

Hello @yungchiau.lin,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
We do apologize that this has occurred within your instance, unfortunately, we are unable to recover your data due to our Data Storage FAQ.
We cannot use our RDS backups to roll back changes. These include changes such as fields overwritten using scripts, or deleted issues, projects, or sites.
This is because our data isn’t stored in a single central database. Instead, it is stored across many micro services, which makes rolling back changes a risky process.
It may be possible to recover some of this data on your end though, some solutions would be:
- If an administrator has created a recent site-backup, that could be used to restore the site.
- Data could be mined and recovered from the Atlassian Cloud Emails sent to your users.
Also, I would like to share that the details about the site being wiped are shown on the site and on our documentation:
Import overwrites existing data
This import process overwrites existing data and configuration (including cross-application settings) in your Jira cloud site. This impacts existing issues and attachments, and look and feel configuration.
It also shows these details before running the import:
We're sorry that we're not able to help in this situation. Please do let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.
Kind regards,
Angélica

Thank you, Angélica. I know that is my blunder, I will carefully check manuals next time.
There is a suggestion, because jira strongly alert and force me to backup when I try to restore system, but it do not force me to download the backup file.
Therefore, I thought it will keep backup files in storage but customers still have a download option rather than overwrite all things include backup file when importing. That's why I backuped but not downloaded file. Could you suggest Atlassian to strongly note or forced download backup file to be a foolproof import way?

Hello @yungchiau.lin,
It’s necessary to manually download the backup, currently, there are no functions that would download the file.
There are some suggestions for automatic backup on Cloud:
