ACP-620: Managing Jira Projects for Cloud certification

Hi Atlassian Community,

I’m currently preparing for the ACP-620: Managing Jira Projects for Cloud certification and plan to take the exam soon.

Has anyone completed the ACP-620 recently? I’d really appreciate any guidance on:

• Whether the current exam topics/syllabus have changed significantly
• Which areas are most important to focus on
• The overall difficulty and style of the scenario-based questions
• Any recommended mock exams or practice-question resources that are close to the current exam level
• Any topics that surprised you or required deeper Jira Cloud knowledge than expected

I’m particularly interested in feedback from anyone who has taken the exam recently.

Based on my experience when I passed the ACP-620, the areas I found the most challenging were Reports and Automation.

For Reports, I wouldn't focus only on memorizing what each report does. It's also important to know where each report is used. Some reports are related to Sprints, others to Projects, boards, etc. A key part is recognizing the report shown in the question, understanding where it is used, and then determining what it will show based on the conditions described. In many questions, the report is actually shown as an image.

Automation is similar. You may be given a rule and asked what it will do. You need to recognize the different components involved — triggers, conditions, actions, branches, smart values, and so on — and understand how they work together to determine the outcome.

These were the areas I personally found more challenging (and that's why I haven't forgotten them), but of course, all the exam topics are important for passing the ACP-620. You may already be very comfortable with Reports, for example, so this is just based on my own experience.
