Hi everyone,
Is it possible to add a custom dropdown field so that customers can edit it from the portal? I've added it to a transition screen, but the custom field doesn't appear in the portal; only the "comment" field is visible, which isn't on the screen.
However, it appears correctly in the project view.
Hi @Aaron P_
This is not possible custom fields can't be aded and transitions screens, also don't apply to the portal.
There are 3rd party apps that can provide the option to have more information on the portal, but still information can't be edited from the portal.
Customers can create request via the portal, for editing, you will need to be an agent.
Or start using forms, a form can be re-opened and via the portal changes can be be until the form is submitted
Thanks to both of you!
Yes, I hadn't thought about leaving the form open for editing.
Gracias a ambos!
Sí, efectivamente no había pensando en dejar un formulario abierto para que lo puedan editar

Hi @Aaron P_ , thanks for your post.
Would this work - https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/how-to-allow-customers-to-edit-the-jira-fields-of-their-portal-request-using-forms/ for you?
Otherwise there are apps to help with this - https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/how-to-allow-customers-to-edit-the-jira-fields-of-their-portal-request-using-forms/ , but out of the box / not using forms, I think you will find this isn't possible.
Hope this helps you.
Best wishes
