Team'26 Recap Serie - DAY #5: Elevating Dev Teams with Code intelligence in Rovo, Bitbucket & DX AI

Hi Community! πŸ‘‹

Did you catch the sessions and keynotes at Team ’26 in Anaheim? If you missed it or just want a refresher, I'me breaking down the biggest announcements over the next few days.

This is the second entry of a day-by-day serie of forum posts about key agenda topics and announcements from Team'26.

Hello devs and DevOps managers! Today we’re diving into the Software Collection and Jira for Devs updates from Team ’26. Atlassian is deeply embedding AI into the developer experience to optimize cycle time and codebase health.

πŸ”§ Code intelligence in Rovo (semantic search)

This involves semantic search across various code sources (not just Bitbucket, GitHub and so on), tasks and documentation. During the opening keynote, an extensive demo of this feature was presented, showcasing a real-time search across Atlassian repositories spanning the last 25 years.

πŸ€– Agentic Pipeline in Bitbucket

Allows to run an agent within a pipeline to automate common tasks.

πŸ“ŠDX AI insights announcements

Following its acquisition of DX last year, Atlassian is strengthening its presence in the field of AI impact analysis, particularly in the area of code generation. DX has launched three new features:

  • AI Code Insights: Track code generated by AI vs. humans (e.g., seeing metrics like 57% Code generated by AI alongside a plummeting PR revert rate down to 1.00%).
  • AI Pulse: Gives leadership high-level visibility into code quality, structural shifts, and velocity trends.
  • The Agent Experience Score: To ensure AI agents are actually helping rather than adding noise, Atlassian introduced the Agent Experience Score, evaluating four vital metrics:
    • Requirement Clarity
    • Steering Effectiveness
    • Codebase Predictability
    • Output Confidence

πŸ† Industry Recognition: Atlassian (DX) was officially named a Leader in the April 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Developer Productivity Insights Platforms!

πŸ’¬ Community Discussion: How do you feel about tracking the percentage of AI-generated code in your repositories? Do you think it will help monitor technical debt, or change how you measure productivity?
