I would add that perhaps most transitions should have matching transitions going in the other direction, for when people accidentally change status.

Thanks for your comment~ I usuallly call Global Transition as free style workflow, which is not conducive to cultivate team's process awareness (update status at will) and measure Kanban metric (e.g. cycle time).
