Notifications aren't there yet…but yes, it wouldn't be a Mac app without notifications. :) My main aim, at the moment, is to try to work out if there's real interest in a native client. My suspicion has always been that there is, at least, a basic minority of users who would prefer a native client to the web client…even if it weren't as capable as the web client…at least, not at first. I would hope to have "something" usable in the next two months, even if it were a super preliminary alpha. However it works out, it's been fun playing with the v3 API.
If anyone is interested in a desktop experience but can stand it not being native for now, I have a very clean Electron wrapper for it that I just started. It was influence by a particular effort that I forked and then completely revamped. I have macOS and Linux versions done, and Windows is next as soon as I can get some time.
It's a WIP and I will be add more and more native features as I have time. I would like push-back, feedback, and contribution as it's open source or course.
@b3l13v3r Just installed and looks amazing so far! Going to give it a shot—the lag on the site is frustrating and as a new user finally putting on my dev hat, I just can't.
Tysm for working on this in the (forever?) interim!
@Sapio Thanks for trying it out. It's very functional and basic, but I'm not currently able to maintain it as I have been working on a much larger project. But feel free to let me know if something breaks on GH (I don't come here often) and I'll try and fix it as quickly as possible.
