I have a Default Cloud Mail Server using address jira@xxxxxxx.atlassian.com.
Can I create an email handler associated with a project YYY that will monitor jira@xxxxxxx.atlassian.com, parse subjects of incoming emails and create issues only if specific keyword exists in the subject.
For example, if email sent to jira@xxxxxxx.atlassian.com with "YYY:" in the subject, jira will create an issue in a project YYY.

I don't think this is possible with native Jira functionality. However in this post @Alexander Ling mentions a third party app call "Email this issue" that you might want to explore to see if it extends email handling in the way you need.
