With Legacy Automation going away on August 30th, 2021, will my existing legacy rules continue to run when they are transitioned into the new format or will something happen to them?
Thank you
Hi @Matt Sardi , can you please provide a reference to the article that indicates August 30 as the deadline?
If you happen to be referring to this specific article - Legacy-automation-is-being-superseded-by-Automation-in-Jira
then please pay careful attention to the first paragraph.
In a phased rollout starting on August 30, 2021, we will turn off Legacy automation for all new Jira Service Management sites.
The above translates to anyone creating a new instance of JSM. In which case there would be no legacy rules at all.
Then the second paragraph specifies…
If you’re currently using Legacy automation, you will not lose access to your rules and you can continue using and editing them as usual.
You will also find some comments down below where some of us have inquired as to longer-term plans. For now however I would not worry about it.
