Jira Cloud Contact Widget phone number field?

Hello! Is there a way to add a phone number field to the Widget?

I know I can use regex on Forms custom fields, but not sure if it works on the Widget, I couldn't make it work.

Using text or number custom field looks sloppy and I'm not sure if it's safe.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi @Mariano ,

If depends what is the use case you are trying to solve. Based on what is mention, then the custom field is the route to take. It is quite common when pulling a list of work item contacts.

Hello @Benjamin ! I'm trying to allow customers to leave a phone number along with their email address.

Out of the box, the Contact Widget only allows customers to leave their email address and that's it.

Thanks. Got it. You are using the embedded widget option. It is limited on what can be configured. 

You'll need to add the phone number field in your request types. Then when the end users select the request type to submit, they will then see the phone number  field pop up.

Hello @Benjamin ! I managed to do that, but how can I use regex on the field in order to allow only US phone numbers?
