I am trying to capture the approver of an approval step in a separate custom field when multiple approvers are selected.

Example: I have an approval step with approvers A, B, and C selected in a multi-user picker field. I only need one of the approvers to approve but I want to capture who approved of the issue in a separate custom short text field so that I can easily see who of the three approved of the issue without having to go back into the comments.

I tried using automation to capture the group member on approval but it puts all three users on the short text field, and using the guidance from Atlassian I can produce the approval status of all three approvers in a comment.

Does anyone have any guidance regarding this or have done something similar?
