How do I update the reporter field on automated linked issues that were created by another issue

Deleted user

I have an automation set up for a "service desk A" where an issue is created and creates issues with a specific request type for "service desk B" and "service desk C"

How do I update the reporter for issues on Service Desk B and Service Desk C AFTER the automation runs?

My current one keeps failing because it's trying to run at the same time as the other automation. So it says the reporter is automation for jira, instead of the reporter from service desk A.

Hi @[deleted] ,

Unless I'm not understanding the question correctly, you should be able to simply set the reporter as part of the clone process in your automation.

Hello @Marcus Jones

Thank you for your response!

When I tried the Clone action, it doesn't allow me to copy over the request type from the trigger issue.

Is there a way to do this in the same automation?

Oh I think I figured it out...

If I do this branch, it seems to update the Cloned Issue request type...

Awesome! Yes, that is exactly what I was going to suggest you do. Great job figuring it out!
