How do I set default values for change request fields?

I would like to make the "Request a change" form automatically select a particular approvers group by default.  How can we set defaults like these?  

In the "Agent view" section, I can drag fields up and down, but I can't see how I can assign default values to them?

With the use of Automation rule, the required group can be set as approvers for the request type.

Please let me know if any guidance is required for creating the Automation rule.
