How To Hide Customer Portal Externally But Not Email Requests

IT Account January 13, 2025

We have forms and request types on the portal that are for internal use only. Somehow, external users are submitting on the portal. We only want email communication.

How do I turn off the portal for all projects to external users, but only the portal?

All I see is an option to basically shut out all external users from emailing and creating a ticket.

hi @IT Account , up until recently the answer would be you can't do that. However Atlassian has recently introduced the ability to restrict customer access by request type. See if this article gives you what you're looking for - Announcing-request-type-restrictions-in-Jira-Service-Management

That's exactly it! Thank you, I didn't realize it would be in request types.
