Auto Add Value into Field

Hey,

I have a field of Multi Select (Service Catalogue) consisting of multiple values like ATM, ITM, etc & Other. If the user selects Other then Other Field will populate and the user enters the input like CMS. What I want is to add this input value to my Service Catalogue field so that next time when other users came and while creating an issue the Service Catalogue will have the values like ATM, ITM and CMS & Others.

You can achieve what you want by:

• Creating a webhook on you instance
• Use jira automation to get the trigger for the "other value" and then
• Send a web request using REST api

The solution is pretty much the one described on that article. However this will work for jira fields, and not for field inside a form on a JSM project.

there is no automation for this using builtin feature.
