Hi , I need to add three EPIC to my KANBAN board . The EPIC will represent three phases: development, testing and deployment . I need to assign each stage to a team and not a single team member. How can I achieve that ?
I created teams on the kanban board, but while creating EPIC , these teams do not show up. The EPIC only allows me to assign to one team member Kindly help!
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
I will try and assist answer your question today.
Which field exactly are you using exactly? If it isn't available on your issue, it might not be added into your screens.
If you're referring to the field Assignee, then unfortunately that will only allow you to choose one person, and we don't forsee that changing anytime soon (a similar topic can be found here: How to assign an issue to multiple assignees (atlassian.com))
However, if you are referring to the Team field, which is part of the advance roadmaps feature (because you are using the premium version of Jira), then that behaves similarly with the assignee field, as it only accepts one team as its value.
My advise is to either create a separate field with a static option to indicate which teams are working on the epic, and then use the assignee field to indicate who owns the epic, maybe the product owner or business analyst.
I hope this provided a bit of clarify for your question.
Cheers,
Francis
