AI trial customer cannot access issue summarization

We signed up for the Atlassian Intelligence trial and so are supposed to still have access to the AI features.  We do not have access to the Issue summarization (the main thing we were excited about), nor the virtual agent.  Is this not part of the trial that extends to later in 2024?

Hi @Abigail Leta

I'll try to assist you with your inquiry. 

Firstly, I do have a few questions for you to check and verify.

  1. Have you enabled Atlassian Intelligence under your administration settings for each product?
    • Being added into the trial doesn't automatically enable the AI functionality. You'll need to manually enable it.
    • To check go to
  2. For issue summarisation or any form of summarisation in Jira, can you double check if the field is using a Wiki Renderer format? 
    • You won't be able to trigger AI on non-wiki renderer fields.

Hello @Francis Batilo  - thanks so much for your reply.  The comments field does use the wiki renderer, I'm assuming that's what you mean, since those are the things will be summarized..  And yes we have AI functionality enabled. 

 

I want to be clear that we have the Standard plan, but that we signed up for the trial and were "grandfathered in" until later in 2024, when we know we'll have to go to premium if we want to continue using the AI features.  Could that be the issue?  We are able to use the Generative AI feature in the editors right now, but I was really hoping we could try the summarize feature while evaluating whether we switch to premium.
