A filtered Jira Software Board is not synchronising into a Jira Align Program as expected?

Wondering why your filtered Jira Software Board is not synchronising it's issues into a Jira Align Program the way you are expecting?

1. Jira Align <> Jira Connector uses a:

1 Project = 1 Board = 1 Team relationship.

2.  the Jira Board "Filter Query" is not used by the Jira Connector at all.

The Jira Connector looks in the Jira Project for the following fields in order to fill in the ProjectKey value for Jira Align.

1. location field (aka “Location”)
2. sharePermissions( aka "Filter Share")

If you want a particular view within Jira Align of the work items in that project, then add Jira Software Labels to the relevant work items.

Then in Jira Align, you can filter by Jira Align tags to create that view.
