Issues setting up the GitLab power-up

Mihailo Misic November 3, 2017

Hi I'm using the free account on Trello and I'm having issues setting up the GitLab's power-up on it.

I don't have any other power-ups activated (not exceeding the free limit)

Steps I took so far:

  1. Created a team for my company
  2. Created a board for a certain project (It's the only board in our team)
  3. Added members
  4. Selected the GitLab as the power-up from the side-bar
  5. Started the Authorize Account section
  6. I've checked the "Autofill GitLab API" resulting in:
  7. API Endpointhttps://gitlab.com/api/v4/
  8. And I've entered the newly created Access Token in the Personal AccessToken field following the instructions provided.
  9. Every time I try to save it, it says the token is invalid.

The token I've created has no expiration date and I've checked all of the scopes.
I've tried making a few other tokens, but all were regarded as invalid.

What am I doing wrong here, I'm really surprised by this issue.

I'm having this same issue. Was there ever a resolution?

Yes. The problem is small and can be simply solved.
The Trello's default gitlab API endpoint has a trailing slash ( / ) at the end, that messes with the URL's.
Try using the default GitLab API endpoint and just remove the slash from the end.

Yup, that was it. Thanks!

Hi Mihailo,

Marta here from Trello Support.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. So we can further troubleshoot this with you, would you mind submitting a request to us here trello.com/contact

If you could send us a screenshot of what you're seeing along with the descriptions of the steps you've followed (as given here), we'll be happy to investigate where the problem might be.

Many thanks!

Marta
