🎄 Advent Calendar Day 6: Historical Wonders of Transcarpathia (Zakarpattia)&Must-Have QA Dashboards

6_final.png  Our 24-day journey across Ukraine continues! While it’s impossible to know this incredible country in such a short time, honestly, it only takes a moment to fall in love with its charm. A day or two here, and Ukraine will steal your heart forever.

Today, we’re diving into the westernmost region of Ukraine: Zakarpattia, nestled in the heart of Europe. Known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, this region is also home to Victoria Babidorich, the Team Lead of our QA team.

Victoria will showcase the dashboards her team uses to monitor productivity—both for individual members and the team. These insights are key to ensuring efficiency and success in every project. Stay tuned as we continue to explore Ukraine's beauty and talents with Jetty! 🌍

Meet Victoria: Our QA Star and Bug-Busting Pro

Victoria Babidorich is the shining star of our QA team, and for good reason! With her razor-sharp mind and an impeccably systematic approach, she ensures the quality of our apps is nothing short of perfect. Nothing escapes her or her team’s keen eyes—they’re the ultimate bug busters (we suspect even the bugs are afraid of her 😄).

While developers might not love seeing her detailed reports in their inboxes, they know there’s no arguing with her standards. After all, when Victoria speaks, bugs—and sometimes developers—must comply. 😉

Why QA Dashboards Matter

QA dashboards are indispensable tools for tracking the productivity of individual team members. They provide actionable insights into workload distribution, focus areas, and team efficiency. By monitoring these metrics, leaders can better allocate resources, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the team's output aligns with project goals.

Key Metrics on a Tester'sTester's Dashboard

Each tester's dashboard includes the following essential charts:

  1. Number of Bugs Created: Tracks how many bugs a tester has identified.
  2. Number of Tasks Created (Non-Bug): Highlights contributions beyond bug reporting.
  3. Number of Closed QAT Tasks: Measures task resolution efficiency.
  4. Average Bug Testing Time. Target: 2.5 hours
  5. Average Testing Time (No Bugs). Target: 3.0 hours
  6. Total Worklogs Across All Projects (excluding QAT): An overview of overall activity is provided.
  7. Time Breakdown by Cost Center (Last 6 Months): How a tester's efforts are distributed across various projects.

These dashboards are vital for maintaining a high-performing QA team, ensuring transparency, and helping testers focus on delivering quality results.

The Big Picture: The General QA Dashboard

The general QA dashboard provides a comprehensive team performance overview to complement individual dashboards. This tool is essential to Victoria's monthly reporting process, offering key insights into trends, efficiency, and areas needing improvement.

Key Metrics on the General Dashboard

This dashboard includes the following critical charts:

  1. Average Time Waiting for Test (2024, by Month): Tracks how long tasks are queued before testing begins.
  2. Average Time Testing (2024, by Month): Measures the Time spent on active testing this year.
  3. Average Time Waiting for Test (2023, by Month): Offers a comparative view of waiting times from last year.
  4. Average Time Testing (2023, by Month): Shows how this year's testing times compare to 2023.
  5. Open Bugs Per Day: Provides daily tracking of unresolved bugs.
  6. Tested Issues (by Month): Displays the volume of tasks the team has tested over Time.

This dashboard provides a bird’s-eye view of the QA team’s performance, helping Victoria identify trends, highlight achievements, and pinpoint challenges. It’s a powerful ally in ensuring the team stays on track and continues delivering top-quality results.
