Tips from Iryna for Getting the Most Out of Time Metrics Tracker

Iryna recommends these strategies to maximize the value of the Time Metrics Tracker add-on:

  1. Define Your Metrics: Collaborate with your team to identify the most critical statuses to track.
  2. Regular Reviews: Set up a weekly or bi-weekly review of transition time reports to spot trends and adjust processes.
  3. Integrate Alerts: Use deadline notifications to stay ahead of bottlenecks.

🌍 A Cultural Note from Donetsk

🏔 Terikony: The Symbolic Mountains of Donetsk

Donetsk is famous for its terikony, towering man-made mounds created from the waste materials of coal and mineral mining. With 89 terikony in Donetsk alone, these artificial "mountains" are an integral part of the region's landscape.

Before the Russian invasion, terikony were a source of fascination for locals and tourists alike. Climbers trained on their slopes, children explored their rugged terrain, and spectators enjoyed panoramic views of the city and nearby football matches from their heights.

🏰 The Grand Salt Caves of Soledar

Nestled near the town of Soledar, these grand underground caves are a marvel of human ingenuity and natural beauty. Over 150 years ago, an immense salt deposit was discovered in Donetsk, leading to the creation of a sprawling network of tunnels stretching over 300 kilometers.

Soledar itself, whose name translates to "a gift of salt".  The caves became more than a mining site—they were transformed into a world of their own, featuring:

  • Sculptures and labyrinths carved from salt.
  • A football field, café, and even a church.
  • A concert hall known for its extraordinary acoustics.
  • A functioning underground sanatorium, where the salt-rich air was used to treat respiratory conditions.

In an extraordinary act of defiance and solidarity, the Artemsil enterprise released a limited batch of salt preserved from destruction, named “Might. Ukrainian Rock Salt.” The proceeds are funding drones for the Ukrainian military, proving once again that even in hardship, Ukrainians find ways to support each other and fight for freedom.
