Hey folks! Jetty from SaaSJet is here to guide you on Day 3 of our special Advent-ure! As we count down to Christmas, we’re bringing you a special journey that combines the power of Jira with fascinating facts from Ukraine. Today, we’re talking about how Issue History for Jira can help you uncover the hidden details of your projects together with our PM Serhii Kibitkin, who shares the rich history of his hometown, Dnipro, and Dnipropetrovsk region.
Serhii’s journey from the heart of Dnipro to product development at SaaSJet is one of inspiration and pride. Growing up in Dnipro, Serhii was immersed in a city known for its innovation and industrial might. Dnipro’s rich history in aerospace and heavy industry, from building space rockets to leading technological advances, shaped his outlook on progress and precision.
“I always felt proud of how our city played such a significant role in innovations. That same drive for technology and attention to detail is something I bring with me every day in my work at SaaSJet. It’s that same spirit powers Issue History for Jira, where we constantly work to improve our app, with releases every week or two."
Serhii's homeland is known not just for its space legacy but also for its cossack and artistic heritage.
Mining and metallurgy. Known for its iron ore and steel production, the region has a history intertwined with heavy industry.
Cossack heritage. The region was part of the Zaporozhian Sich, a historical center of the Ukrainian Cossacks. Cossack traditions remain strong, particularly in storytelling, music, and horsemanship.
Art. Petrykivka is a unique style of decorative painting, originating from the village of Petrykivka, where people decorated their living quarters, household belongings, and musical instruments. The ornament features intricate floral and nature-inspired patterns.UNESCO recognized it as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Nature. The Dnipro River has inspired traditions like boating festivals and "Dnipro songs," a genre of folk music celebrating life along its banks.
Think of Issue History as your Jira time machine. Whether you’re managing a Christmas campaign, a software update, or a holiday rush project, you’ll want to keep track of every change – from status updates to assignee shifts. Issue History for Jira lets you preserve the story of your project step by step.
Serhii, our Product Manager, shares some helpful tips:
"When managing multiple teams, especially during busy times like the holidays, you can rely on Issue History for Jira to track all changes. It’s like having a digital diary of your project. You can always retrace your steps and determine exactly when and why something changed.
The holiday season is a great time to reflect on the year gone by. Issue History can help you to look back on your projects and identify areas for improvement in the new year. You can honor your team’s hard work with a clear overview of how far you’ve come.”
Advent is a time of discovery that combines uncovering the past and learning new things. It’s about preparation for the year ahead by reflecting on what’s been accomplished. And, of course, it’s a time of celebration of the journey, the changes, and the progress made along the way.
Let’s celebrate the flow of progress in our projects. As we reflect on our past and prepare for the future, our SaaSjet team celebrates the innovation and tradition that drive us forward.
Thank you for joining us on Day 3. Stay tuned for more tips, insights, and Ukrainian traditions in the days to come.
The warmest holiday wishes from Jetty and the SaaSJet Team!
