I've been trying to update the status of subtasks linked to a parent but keep receiving this error.

"Unexpected failure occurred. Importer will stop immediately. Data may be in an unstable state: Failed to remove subtasks [OEIT-39] parents. A parent of a subtask cannot be removed."

I've mapped the issue key, issue type, issue ID, parent ID, status, and summary, but keep getting the error saying the importer is trying to remove the subtask parent. Has anyone else run into this issue and worked out a solution?

I have 806 subtasks to update, so bulk updating within Jira as opposed to via csv import is not ideal.

Found it. This happened because my board's filter included this section

AND closed after -7d

After removing this - it fixed all reports.

Andre, the error message that JIRA displays in this case is of course not informative enough. I would suggest fixing it in future Agile versions.

Hey Peter,

This can be a permission issue. The board's filter is bringing different projects? And if so, can you check if by going to the Issue Navigator and search for this Sprint, you can see all results there? You simply need to open the Issue Navigator and type: "Sprint = " (start to type the Sprint name and it will complete with the Sprint ID).

Hope it helps!

Cheers,
Andre

Hi Andre, don't think that's it. Board is extracting issues from one project (always was a single project) and searching in Issue Navigator for completed sprints does show results.
