The usecase is that I have backlog tasks that I would like to keep out of the board, though at the same time I would like every new task to pop-up right away so we can triage and decide if it's a board / backlog.
I am aware of the possibility to create the new tasks from the board view.
Though people who typically open tasks for the team do this through the generalized 'Create' screen (+) and not through our board view.
Hi @Alona Avruch - If Backlog is enabled but Sprints is not enabled, then it's definitely possible to create tasks directly on the board. However, to do that you'd have to navigate to the board and select + Create issue in the first column.
Issues created through the generic create screen (+ in the blue global sidebar) will go to the backlog, and this can't be changed.
Hope that helps!
