I am new to Jira cloud, and I spent over 3 hours trying to enable Epic.
I verified that the old scurm and kanban templates give me Epic issue type, but no luck with the new ones.
Project settings -> Issue type only has Story, Bug and Task.
Could I get some help?
Regards,
Matthew
Hi @Matthew Lee,
thanks for the feedback, the team is happy to hear that you like trying out new things! Let us know if you have other thoughts about the new experience.
@Kelly Albrecht _Western Massachusetts_'s comment is on point, we're currently working hard to bring epics and story point to agility projects. I can't give you a definite estimate but it's coming soon.
If you want to follow what we're releasing on a regular basis, you can check out this post, we're updating it regularly.
Cheers!

Can you confirm which project template you used to create your project?
It sounds like you may have used the new Agility template which does not have Epics yet.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes. I have used the new scrum and kanban template since I love new things.
I am happy that I finally know why Epics were missing.
Do we have estimate on when those new templates will get Epics?
Regards,
Matthew

I’m not aware of an estimate, but my understanding is that the team’s current priorities are bringing Epics and Story Points to the Agility projects.
