How do you filter by Issue type in the backlog or board in a Next-Gen project?

Thank you for raising this question.
I believe you are talking about the Quick filters available in the classic project's template. Is that correct?
If that's what you meant, the new issue view available on the Next-Gen projects is still a lab feature on JIRA, so our developers are still working to implement some of the previous features of Classic projects and collecting feedback from customers about what should be kept and what should be removed, including Quick filters.
Here's the suggestion opened to implement this feature in the new issue view. Please, feel free to vote and watch it to increase the priority and also be aware of any updates:
