We currently use the Slack RSS Feed Reader to subscribe to outages from some of our vendors. We want to ensure out team is aware of outages for other companies that we rely on. Unfortunately the RSS Feed Reader can often be delayed by about 20 minutes after an incident has started causing delays in notification to our team.
I saw the Subscribe Via Webhook option which led me to https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/set-up-a-slack-integration/. Unfortunately, this integration seems like it is primarily built for the back-end integration with Status Page for our company and NOT for subscribing to other company's status pages.
Are there other suggestions on how we can subscribe to a status page and get quicker notifications via Slack?
Hey @matt_smith!
Companies using Statuspage can choose to enable Slack notifications for end users. For example, you can see this on the Confluence status page at https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/
If your favorite status page isn't offering Slack subscriptions, you should reach out and encourage them to enable it! The documentation on this feature is here:
