Why does the article not cover re-indexing. Will it still be required?

Hey Estela!

I'm not sure if it's expressly required or not to reindex after creating a new custom field, but in testing it in one of my instances, you are presented with a popup that recommends a reindex.  

Just to be safe, it'd probably be best to perform a background reindex after creating your field.
