User gets Jira server error when trying to reassign an issue.

One of our users is trying to re-assign an issue to another user. When she starts typing the name in the Assignee box, she recieves the following message:

The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

This only seems to be happening to the one user. I am able to reassign with no problems.

Well the issue is solved. Appraently you can get to places in JIRA without signing in, and that is what the User did. She was not signed in but was able to get as far as trying to assign. That's when she got the error. Thanks for the attention to this matter though.

Does the browser show any error messages when you enable the development tools either looking at the console or the network tabs?
