Shirzad Montasser February 17, 2013

Hello,

Im new to this and need some advice, im creating a page for work that uses a few PDF file links.

when i click on the link it uses the same Windows Tab. is there a way to have that PDF file to open a new tab/window so my collegues dont need to hit the back button everytime.

at the moment the script shows:

[Insurance plan|^LIFE KEY FACTS - Nov 2012.pdf]

what do i need to have in that script so it can open a new tab/window.

Hope you can help.

Hello Shirzad,

May I know if you are referring to JIRA or Confluence?

In JIRA, you are able to force your browser to download the pdf file, rather than opening the document within the same browser. This configuration can be found via Administration > System > General Configuration. Then locate the option Internet Explorer MIME Sniffing and choose the option Secure: forced download of all attachments for all browsers.

Hope this helps.
