Hello Experts,
Now when I look at all the issues related to a version I can see only the one with the 'Fix Version' field equal to the version,
Is it possible to see both Fix Version And Affected Version by default?
Thanks
Naama
I'm afraid the question is not clear. You don't tell us where you are looking, so it's hard to tell what you mean.
It's easy to search for "affected version = x", and it appears on issues and can be added as a column in the navigator, and in gadgets, and so on. , so I'm confused as to what you mean when you say you want to see both, when you already can!
Hello Nic,
Thanks for your reply,
I am looking on the default content for a version (with our creating a specific query), i.e.
outcome: I can see only the issues that has 'fix version' filed populated with that version and not the ones with the 'Affected version'
Can you please advise?
Thanks
Naama

Ah, ok, thanks for clearing it up. JIRA puts a lot of emphasis on the fix version, and not a lot on affects-version. This does make a lot of sense. Affects version really is very simple - "I found this problem in that version". That's it, there's very little more you can say about it. But the fix version is a LOT more important. At a glance, it really is "version we fixed it in", but because you haven't fixed it (because it has been raised), there's a huge pile of things to think about. You're into aiming to fix it in a version, planning to get the work done so that it can go into that version, how you move that version to a release state, get it to production and so-on. So, there's not really a lot to say on that particular screen - it focuses on fix version because that is very important for planning. If you want to look at affects-version, you should simply build filters (and dashboards) to help you focus on them.
