How do I enable "mentions" in Jira on demand

Bernardo San Juan May 11, 2014

Hi,

I have Jira admin permission in our epages Jira Ondemand instance. I am trying to use the mention feature in the comments field by typing "@ + username" but the autocomplete is not popping out. When I type "@username" and click on enter, the system would not tag the user.

Could you please direct me to the documentation that guides you on how to set mentions please?

Cheers!

PD. the @+username works on our confluence, but not in Jira

Hi, you need two things for it to work in JIRA:

  1. The global Permission "Browse Users"
  2. The Renderer of the field you are using (e.g. comment field oar any custom filed) needs to be "Wiki-Style Renderer"
    1. set this in the corresponding field configuration

That's all that's needed. Also this actualy should work out of the box in JIRA ondemand, have you played with any of the two points before?
