Can a project support multiple email addresses?

Do i have the ability to setup multiple email accounts for a single JIRA project?  The documentation states that typically there is only one - wanted to make sure there's no issue with supporting a second email address.   

 

POP or IMAP email messages

To set up issue and comment creation from email, you will need to create a mail account for a POP or IMAP mail server that JIRA can access – typically, one mail account for each JIRA project. For example, for the 'ABC' project, you might establish an account abc-issues@example.com

Yes, it works fine for incoming mail.

The reason is that the mail doesn't go directly to a project.  For each email address you want to listen to, you need to set up a mail account AND a "mail handler" to do all the work when mail arrives.  One of the things you have to set up in the "mail handler" is the project to create issues in - and it doesn't matter if you set up lots of mail handlers all pointing at the same project!

Thank you Nic! All is setup in JIRA. Getting an error on the username/password but hope it's something on our end. I appreciate your quick response!
