Hi,
We have a project that has hundreds of old Versions that are in the state of Unreleased. Is there a way to bulk update these to the state of Released instead of updating each Version individually? Can we run an update query on the database to do this?
JIRA version is 4.4.1

Hi,
To resolve this we used the JIRA CLI and it works fine.
You need to download the plugin here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.jira.cli
Then install on your local machine as detailed here: https://bobswift.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JCLI/Installation+and+Use

Ashley,
Have you tried the "bulk change" feature? I believe you can make use of that to update those issues.
Just perform a search in issue navigator to bring all issues you want to update. Then, click on the cog icon on the top right corner, choosing "bulk change". Follow the prompts to modify the field you wish.
Hope it helps.

Hi Jeison,
Unfortunately, you can't use the bulk change feature to update Versions; it can only be used to update issues themselves.
