Automated emails do not send, do not look to even be queueing

Joshua Nass September 28, 2012

I have successfully setup my outgoing email path. I have been able to manually send emails through the outgoing email config as well.

However, regardless of how I have my project configured I cannot get automated emails to send when creating or assigning an issue. Here is what I have tried:

- Set notification of project to default

- Verified On Creation and On Assign notification actions exist in scheme

- Verified users have browse project security access.

- Verified no OutOfMemory exception within in Java.

- Set Admin>Services>Notification to longer than 1 minutes to see if anything queues. Nothing ever does.

I am not sure what else to try.

Thank you!

Did you check your user preferences https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+your+User+Profile ? If the preference "my changes" is set to "do not Notify me" (default) you won't get any notification mails about the changes you do. Please change the setting to see if notifications work. Alternatively another user could assign an issue to you which should create a notification mail sent to you.
