Starting today, we’ve got a month of app-related fun in store here in the Community! During this month’s festivities, which we’re calling 🍻🍂Apptoberfest🍂🍻, we’ll be giving you lots of opportunities to engage with peers and partners on the subject of apps and integrations.

If you’ve ever wondered…

🤔 which apps do other Atlassian admins and experts find the most useful?

🤔 who are the teams behind your favorite apps?

🤔 how can you make your Jira or Confluence instance do more for your team?

… this is the event for you!

The most engaged Community members will get Apptoberfest swag 🎽 and everyone who participates will get an Apptoberfest badge in the kudos program 🏅 (not in the kudos program? Request to join here.) 

So, how can you get involved? Here are 4 ways:

1 - Share your favorite app(s) and why in one of our weekly Apptoberfest discussions

You’ll have weekly opportunities to learn about and share your experiences with apps and integrations that solve key challenges in Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket. We’ll focus on these four categories, which Community members like you chose by taking our survey last summer:

• Analytics and reporting

• Project management

• Charts and diagramming

• and Jira workflows

Keep an eye out in Discussions for weekly prompts, starting next Monday 👀

2 - Vote on your favorite app demos

Marketplace Partners are ready to share video demos of their analytics, project management, charts and diagramming, and Jira workflow apps as part of an 📹 App demo competition.

Vote for your favorite demo(s) in each category by liking the post! Winners will be announced at the end of the month.

3 - Attend an Appy Hour via Atlassian Community Events

In addition to the async events on Community, Community Leaders are encouraged to host virtual “Appy Hours” where you can BYOB or BYO-alcohol-free beverage, and BYO-App to share (shoutout to the Denver ACE leaders for coming up with this fun term!). Tune in to share and/or learn about other favorite apps from your fellow Community members.

4 - Attend an event in the Partner App Crawl

You’ll also get opportunities to connect directly with the partners behind your favorite apps in a month-long Partner App Crawl! Drop into an app crawl event to meet one of the teams behind the apps on our Marketplace. Bring a coffee or a beer and a question (or two!) to get to know our partners better.

Check the “Marketplace Apps” on ace.atlassian.com throughout the month to find Apptoberfest events in your time zone. Add an Apptoberfest-themed Zoom background to get in the spirit!

Plus, we’ve got Apptoberfest-themed hoodies ^ for the 20 most engaged community members, so tune in, comment, like, and share your favorite apps for a chance to win!
