Ricksoft, Inc. is a small but fast-growing startup that builds add-ons for Jira and Confluence to help customers manage their projects efficiently. We became a Platinum Marketplace Partner last year and have got more than 5,400 customers. As our business scales, our team is ready to grow! 

POSITION

We are currently seeking a goal-oriented and strategic Product Manager with a β€œget-it-done” mindset to join our fast-growing Product Team. This is a remote role, which means you can work from wherever you want, and with flexible working hours! 

The Product Manager is responsible for executing all the lifecycle processes of assigned products, including market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, version releases, upgrading to maintenance, and customer success.

The ideal candidate enjoys all aspects of product planning and can build processes to facilitate robust communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including our business partners. His role will report to the Engineering Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with the engineering, marketing, and operation teams to define and maintain the product lifecycle, including the development, QA, release of products, balance of resources, etc.
  • Establish agile, interactive product development processes and workflows to enable the engineering team to focus on execution.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision with internal and external partners and communities.
  • Facilitate communication within multiple teams to align OKRs and maintain up-to-date roadmaps
  • Maneuver tools and dashboards to report on the key metrics to identify risks, dependencies, and critical path items and monitor the market to drive future product development.
  • Effectively engage with remote teams and facilitate communication within and between team members located in multiple time zones and work with all parties to resolve issues as required
  • Occasionally assist the Customer Support Team in resolving technical and non-technical issues from customers. When an Incident occurs, review the codes, modify them if necessary, and approve the fix.
  • Prepare, manage and control operation budgets for projects involving the assigned products.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of managing complex software development operations, involving cross-function among teams
  • BS/BA with a technical degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Proven work experience leading a product development project via agile and scrum methodologies and a thorough understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, multitasking, fluid environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage time with minimum oversight
  • Strong organization and execution skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle the responsibility for project completion
  • Ability to negotiate for competing resources and to generate consensus among multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, and object-oriented design skills
  • Experience in application architecture and design patterns
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and documentation tools such as Jira, GitHub, G Suite (Google Docs, Calendar, Spreadsheets, and Slides)
  • Proven work experience in Atlassian-related software product development and/or product management
  • Strong ability to work together cohesively as a team toward a common goal, creating a positive working atmosphere, and supporting each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural and multilingual work environment
  • Business to Native level English are required.

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem and products
  • Knowledge of Node.js and Typescript
  • Certification: Any Atlassian Certificates, PgMP (Program Management Professional), CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master) are preferred
