where did the priority setting going in my issues?

William Fanning July 12, 2024

Hi there. funny little problem but pretty important for utility.

I no longer see the "priority" setting in any issues or bugs.

  • team-run project
  • kanban board
  • do not see the option to add it in project settings > issue types
  • issues had this setting prior, it was set to moderate with a yellow icon
  • I am an administrator of the project / board

Any thoughts? This is so strange.

PS - related ... the original estimate keep returning, despite the fact that I removed it from the issue types and made cards where it did not appear. Then it re-appeared:

Hi @William Fanning

Are you talking about the Priority system field?

If you have an issue open, click on Configure in the right-bottom corner.

Then look up the Priority field and drag it either to the Description fields or Context fields and Save changes.

Note that you cannot display the Priority field on the card on a board in a team-managed project.

Hi @Dave Mathijs ! So yup ... searching the field works ... I was thrown off because it was there and then it wasn't. And I expected it to be there as an option to drag in (a la Adobe) but this worked fine. Thank you!

Any thoughts on the re-appearance of the time estimate field? Is it common for recent changes to not be reflected?

From what I can gather the field that I set in project settings > issues are only reflected in new issues, is that correct?
