I added a new user to my project but apparently he already had an account, as he received a message that there was already an account associated to that email.
He tried a password reset but he is not receiving any emails. Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Depending on the username, it could be that another users has had the same username but a different email adress associated to it.
Take a look in the administrative area at user management, and search for the username. There at details, you can see which email was set up for him.
You can also send an invitiation to his e-mail adress in case you have found a different e-mail adress, or give him application access (in case the adress is correct, but he does not have the ability to log in anywhere)
