should be able to add multiple sprint values in the sprint field

we are unable to add Multiple values under the sprint. can you please help us the reason. how to be able to add.

@Thokala Suneetha If you are using parallel sprints, make sure this global setting is enabled.

Enabling Parallel Sprints

  1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.
  2. Select Administration () > Applications, then scroll down the page to the Jira Software section.
  3. Under Jira Software configuration, select the Parallel Sprints checkbox.

Hello @Thokala Suneetha 

An issue can be in only one Active or Planned sprint at a time. That is why you can't select multiple sprints in the Sprint field for a given issue.

By setting the Sprint field you are assigning that issue to that sprint. In the agile methodology you are making a commitment to complete that issue during that sprint. If it isn't completed within that sprint, then when you close the Sprint you can move that issue to another active or planned sprint or put it back into the Backlog.

If you are using Default Field offered by Jira, then you should be able to select multiple sprints in the same sprint field.
