I need to create one report that shall have the ability to filter for a period by entering the start date and end date during which an issue type "Non SW" is raised. I also need to display of "SS" issue type linked with "Non SW". How to implement this

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I think you might like the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.

With these, you can build a report like e.g. this in just a couple of clicks:

(I'm using Story and Task issue types here, but it would work the same for "Non SW" and "SS" issue types.)

Once you've narrowed down your list of issues, you can work on your issues directly in JXL, trigger various operations in Jira, or export your issues in just a click.

You can create a filter with those conditions and make a dashboard with the available gadgets that you have within your JIRA instance to show the information to the users
