"@" mentions in Jira on Mac

I am having an issue "tagging" people in Jira with the "@" mention. I am using Jira Cloud and I am on macOS Monterey (12.2.1). I have tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari, however when I "@" and start typing a name, I dont have a list to select from like I see when a PC user uses Jira. 

I did confirm that sometimes the email goes through - but I have to ensure to spell the persons name correctly every single time. 

Does anyone else have this issue? Or know how to resolve it?

To be able to use the mention functionality you must be assigned the "Browse User and Groups" global permission. That can be done only by a Jira Administrator. Check with your Jira Administrator to ensure you have that permission.
