Dear community,

I have to move a lot of Jira issues from one typ to another via mass processing.

The Jira issues have currently a link to a Test Case but also a Test Execution panel including the Test Runs for the respective Fix Version.

After I change the issue type, this Test Execution panel disappears. Would there be any way to preserve it or recreate it after the mass change?

For example; is there any job which can be manually started to transfer the Test Run results from qTest again back to the Jira issue? The issue key does obviously not change.

Hi Tim, if ID of your issue in Jira (ID-1234) did not change, and only the issue type of this issue in Jira changed, then I suggest to check qTest integration settings.

You find these settings in qTest, as an administrator, in "qTest project" -> "integration settings". There you should check if qTest syncs Jira requirements with your "new" issue type in Jira. If not, you add it there and save/activate the connection. Then it should work.

If you changed all your Jira issue types to one new issue type like "epic", then you add "epic" in integration settings. If you switched to several issue types in Jira as "epic", "task", ... then you should add all of these new issue types in qTest integration settings. Then everything should be restored and you will see test execution panel in Jira again.

Best regards
