when I change my ticket from "open" to "ready to release", it's removed from the sprint.

but when it's in "in progress" or "closed" mode, it stays in the sprint.

I don't see where I can change that (I'm not a project administrator, just a board admin).

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The most likely explanations are that your board filter excludes the status the issue has moved into, or that the current status is unmapped on the board.

If an issue can not appear on the board because of one of those, it can not be in the sprint either.

@Thomas LAUDET -

Welcome to the community.  Can you check to ensure that you are on a SCRUM board and not on a Kanban board?

In a Kanban board, there is an board configuration setup where one can setup to remove/hide release (DONE) issues from the board.  However, if it is a SCRUM board, then the ways for a DONE issue drops off from the active sprint UI will be -

1) The sprint value was somehow removed from the issue.

2) The status of the issue was not properly mapped in your board's column setup.

3) The issue contains some fields values where they are not a part of your board's filter query call out.

Hope this also helps.

Hi @Thomas LAUDET and welcome to the Commmunity!

Assuming your Sprint board has 4 columns each with one status mapped and you just drag the issue across the board to transition it between the statuses?

It could either be a Workflow config or an Automation rule, that automatically removes the Sprint value from the issue when it's transitioned to "Ready to release".

Could you check in the issue itself? You can still access the issue outside the board and can check the issue history for changes in the field.
