Hello! I am new to Jira and I lead a team. I would like to know if it is possible to link the activities and progress of a project that I am viewing with the projects that my subordinates are working on. Let's say that I have several "parent" projects and my subordinates have different activities for these parent projects. I want to link the activities that they put in their individual projects with the "parent projects."
Hello @Luis Ángel Rodriguez Ortiz
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Let us first make sure we are using the same terminology.
In Jira a Project is a container for Issues. People use "project" to mean many things. Within your Jira Project you may have issues that you have defined for yourself to encompass the scope of a "project amount of work" (i.e. an Epic type of issue).
It is not possible to link Jira Projects to each other. It is possible to link Jira issues using the generic Link Issue functionality, and you can link Jira issue in one Jira Project to issues in another Jira Project.

Jira issues also have an issue type hierarchy, where issues types at one level can have a parent/child relationship with issues at the adjacent level. The default issue type hierarchy is:
Epic
|-- standard level issues (i.e. Task, Story, Bug)
|-- subtask level issues
Subtask level issues and their parent issue at the Standard level must be in the same Jira Project.
If you are working with Team Managed Projects, then Standard level issues and their parent Epic must also be in the same Jira Project.
If you are working with Company Managed Projects, then Epics and their child Standard level issues can be in different projects.
Jira has some specific capabilities that apply to issues with parent/child relationships, where those capabilities are not available for issues that are linked with the generic issue linking feature.
That outlines the basics of the options you have.
On a side note, if you are new to Jira you may want to consider taking some of the FREE training available from Atlassian at https://university.atlassian.com.
