jira.issue.editable = false still shows a visible Edit button

Elizabeth Ramsey June 15, 2023

Good morning friends!

I have recently learned about the workflow properties

jira.issue.editable = false

and jira.permission.edit.denied

but am having trouble implementing either of them.  When I apply either of these properties in my workflow transition "Close Action", and publish it, the "Edit" button is still visible in that workflow status.

I did check that I published the correct workflow and that I'm looking at the correct project, issue type, and workflow status.  From what I understand, the "Edit" button should now be hidden, as this issue is in the "Closed" status.

Can someone please help me understand what I'm missing here?  Thanks so much! =)

Liz

Hi @Elizabeth Ramsey

You will have to apply these on the status and not on the transition.

Hi Fazila!  Thank you for your response!  I've never added a property to a status before, but after you mentioned it, I can see where to do that.  Thanks for your help! =)
