how to show epics without issues on next-gen board

Pak Yu April 24, 2019

Right now , epic would not show up on the board until a story is made for that epic. I looked for solutions from everywhere but none is found. I was wondering if anyone can help.

We have just the same issue. Our solution will be: not use Next Gen Projekts anymore. There might be very strict projects where this makes sense, but most of our use cases just work better with fewer hard implemented guidelines that you have to follow.

thanks, was a nice try, but "no thanks!"

Hi Pak,

That is how the current design is set up for the epics, and they will not be visible on the board until an issue in that epic is added to active sprint that is shown on the board and the issues are grouped by epic.

All the Epics will display in the roadmap section for review and the Issues in the backlog section where they can be added to, that can be added to the epic as described in "Manage epics in next-gen projects"

Also to build on this moving forward a feature request we currently have open to track interest, is to add in an epic panel to the backlog to provide more detailed info on the backlog view and easier assignment of issue to the epics, make sure to add your vote to the following request per the Implementation of New Features Policy  if this is more of what you are looking for:

Regards,
Earl
