How to limit a sprint to be visible only on particular JIRA board in a project and not on the other jira board in same project.
Hi @Shefali Tayade,
Sprints are displayed in any board that displays issues from the board filter. The display is derived from the values in the Sprint field on the issues.
The only way to technically not show sprints from different boards, is to exclude them from the board filter explicitly. But in a practical reality, I don't think you would want that nor do I believe this would be manageable - sprints are created on an ongoing basis and adding you need to see issues not assigned to a sprint yet in the backlog of the board they belong to.
The behaviour you describe points more in the direction of an unclear process of defining work and the way you organise sprint planning than towards a problem with the tool. I would first of all recommend you to clearly define what your process should look like and then only define and plan sprints in the board(s) where they make sense. It may help to create boards for dedicated teams and use board filters to connect work in Jira to the teams that will execute it - regardless of their sprints. If each team has its own team board and plans its own sprints, the chance of other team's sprints appearing on the board should be significantly smaller.
Hope this helps!
